Hy-Vee on 23rd has Tasting events Each Thursday in March from 4-6 pm. I attended the first and it was delightful. You are given a map of different stations and you wander through the store sampling healthy offerings from several sections. Healthy Choice has a decent looking and tasting frozen dinner and I was very impressed with some precut griller veggies for those crazy days when you need food to be ready now!

Healthy by Kansas Standards
Douglas County was recently listed as one of the top 10 healthiest counties in Kansas reports the Lawrence Journal World. In the same study, put out by the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, Douglas County ranks third in diet and exercise. That is a great place to be! Do you part by making a healthy choice for dinner and taking a walk instead of watching television.
